Ink Kit Instructions
Step 1. Begin by studying the thumb of the person whose print is being taken. Select the area of the thumb that is the most interesting. It is generally the area on the pad of the thumb where the ridges swirl. This is the area you will want to ink.

Step 2. Remove the pre-inked strip from the card. Carefully peel back the top sheet. The top is slightly offset from the bottom. Either of the inked sides of the strip may be used.

Step 3. Practice taking prints on any blank sheet of paper. Lightly touch the inked surface twice and then press downward on the paper. (Use more of a tapping motion than a rolling one.)

When you are satisfied with the look of the practice prints, place five good prints along the bottom of the card. Meadow Hill's artisans will select the clearest portion of the best print for casting.

Step 4. Clean the inked surface with a wet paper towel. A drop of hand lotion that contains alcohol can assist in getting every last bit of ink off. Put the ink strips back together and dispose of in a trash receptacle.
Step 5. Fill out the engraving (up to ten characters per line) and shipping information on the reverse side of the card and tear off the control number in the upper right hand corner. This will be your reference number. Fold the card and place it in the self-addressed envelope and mail it to Brunner Funeral & Cremation Retail Store, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, Ohio 44060.
